fter a marathon virtual Legislative Fly-In last year that included twenty Zoom meetings, the Legislative Fly-In was back as an in-person event in February, complete with meetings with legislators, the governor, and key state officials.

Held February 7 through 9, eight Associated General Contractors of Alaska members joined AGC Executive Director Alicia Amberg and lobbyist Dianne Blumer in Juneau for the event.

In meetings with legislators held mostly in Blumer’s office, AGC members emphasized its list of 2022 Legislative Priorities: a sustainable state budget, responsible resource development, meaningful investment in workforce development and education, and workers’ compensation reform. The team also had a presentation from the governor’s office about the $310 million transportation and infrastructure general obligation bond package Governor Mike Dunleavy introduced as part of his 2023 budget package.
