aul Kovach, of Spenard Builders Supply, passed away unexpectedly on December 12, 2022, at the age of 60. Paul is survived by his wife of almost 38 years, Hollie; children Joshua (Denise), Kelli (Josh), and Kyle (Cheyanne); grandsons Elliott and Griffin; siblings Raymond, Audrey, and Russell; and many nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Pauline, and his brothers, Robert and Philip.

Paul was born on December 8, 1962, in Streetsboro, Ohio. Paul and Hollie were high school sweethearts and moved to Alaska in 1986. Paul was a devoted husband, father, and grandpa. He loved traveling with Hollie and enjoyed spending his time running around with his grandsons. Paul loved to make people laugh and always had a good “dad joke” in his back pocket. Paul was generous with his time and was always available to help. Paul started working at Spenard Builders Supply in 1989 and remained there until his passing, working most recently as the commercial sales manager. He was involved in many Associated General Contractors, or AGC, of Alaska activities, including the Associates Council and golf tournaments. He sat briefly on the AGC Board of Directors in 2022. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and those who knew him.
